Writing a State Report

Students will use this book to complete a research paper on one of the fifty states. The book begins with materials to aid students in the research phase of report writing. An orientation to the library, the construction of bibliography materials, notecards, and foot notes, as well as the use of reference materials are introduced in this section. The remainder of the book gives the student a step-by-step format for the creation and construction of their individual reports. Also included are ideas for projects to accompany state reports, evaluation of the report experience, and a classroom project sharing activity.
